PTV-4 apologized for erroneously naming Burma as Myanmar’s capital

After falsely indentifying Burma as the capital of the Republic of Myanmar during the live streaming of the ASEAN 50 celebration, PTV-4 issued an official statement apologizing for the mistake.

“We would like to extend our sincerest apologies for erroneously identifying the capital of Myanmar as Burma, instead of Naypyidaw, during the live broadcast of the ASEAN Festivities on 8 August 2017,” the statement read.

PTV gave the assurance that the same mistake will not happen again.
