Even if you’re the reigning Miss Universe, it does not protect you from the trolls online. An article about Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach having been arrested in Malaysia surfaced a few days ago. The culprit? News24-TV (formerly DW-Tv3), whose fake stories we have busted over and over again.
According to the article, Wurtzbach tried to smuggle 10 kilos of cocaine into Malaysia through the Kuala Lumpur Airport by hiding the illegal substance in her coffee “two bags of coffee” tucked inside her suitcase. “Officials” supposedly grew suspicious of Wurtzbach’s suitcase, which led to a search of her luggage and the discovery of the ‘white powder,’ which was later confirmed as cocaine.

On October 23, Malaysian police denied arresting Wurtzbach. Malay Mail Online quoted Sepang OCPD Asst Comm Abdul AzizA Ali telling The Star Online: “She has not been arrested. It’s a fake news report.”
This crazy story is totally made up by a website that does not hold back on publishing fake stories. Among its hoax articles that we’ve busted are about Canadian Prime Minister supporting Duterte’s drug war, UN Secretary General calling Duterte ‘brave,’ Hillary Clinton calling Duterte the ‘world’s man,’ and Agot Isidro dating drug lords. Recently, the same fake site also came out with stories such as SM’s Henry Sy buying a private jet for Duterte and FVR testing positive for drugs.
