Duterte says his story about talking with God was just a joke

Unlike in any other speeches, President Rodrigo Duterte first asked the members of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines-Greater Manila Region for permission before he again threw expletives to his critics for his administration’s ongoing war on drugs.

His complaints about the comments he heard from United States’ officials, including US President Barack Obama about the extrajudicial killings in the Philippines also included several cuss words.

The President also revealed that his story about talking to God during his flight from Japan to Manila was just a joke. He had earlier revealed that in his flight, God talked to him and told him to stop cursing or else his plane would crash.

“Alam mo mga buwang naniwala rin. Hindi naman ako bar topnotcher pero hindi naman ako ganun ka g***. Anak ng… kasi sabi ko nga, ang paborito ko sa Davao, magbiro ng kung anu-ano, tapos sabihin, ha? Ganun-ganun, tapos bawiin ko, eh maniwala ka pala. Ka ugok mo eh,” Duterte said.

(They’re crazy, they believed me. I’m not a bar topnotcher, but I’m not that bad. Son of a… Like what I said, in Davao I would always joke about different things then take it back. But you still believe me, you’re foolish.)
