Has Ronnie Dayan fired another shot at her former boss and lover Senator Leila De Lima?
An article that started circulating online claimed that Dayan said he was ready for death penalty, but President Rodrigo Duterte should get the lethal penalty first because he commanded the killings.

“Sana siya ang mauna kay siya ang founder. Susunod kaming mga tao niya Sir,” Matobato told GMA News.
“Willing ako magpabitay Sir. Willing ako magpabitay basta’t kasama ko mga kasamahan ko. Kasama yun si Presidente kasi siya ang puno yan ng patayan na yan,” he added.
Matobato’s response came after the House committee approved House Bill Number 1, which sought to reinstate capital punishment for heinous crimes on December 7.
According to the article picked up by newstrendph.com and viraldutertenews.blogspot.com, which was then shared by Facebook pages “Duterte Warriors,” “Duterte Media,” “Sara Duterte Supporters International,” and “Kilusang Bagong Lipunan,” Dayan shot back at Matobato, saying that he is also ready for the death penalty as long as De Lima will be the first one to get the said punishment.

We read the article, although newstrendph also pointed to viraldutertenews as its source. In turn, viraldutertenews also pointed to a certain blog, mochausonph.blogspot.com.
The article from mochausonph.blogspot.com is mostly a copy of the article from Philippine Star published on December 9, 2016, “Matobato files murder, crimes against humanity raps vs Duterte.” It said Matobato files murde, torture, kidnapping, crimes against humanity, and other violations of international humanitarian law against President Duterte and his son, Davao City Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte.

The second to the last paragraph, though, was not included in the Philippine Star news report. It said, “Recently, Matobato was interviewed and quoted, “Handa akong mabitay basta mauna si Duterte! Dahil siya ang may pasimuno ng lahat!”
This is somewhat true, as what we’ve found out from a GMA News report above.
However, the last paragraph that mochausonph.blogspot.com added to its article is a fabrication.
“No, counter-attack was being reported from the President but De Lima’s driver-bodyguard Ronnie Dayan challenged Matobato that is also ready to undergo death penalty if Sen. De Lima will become first in line,” the article claimed.

Dayan has not uttered this statement. Moreover, why would he be subjected to death penalty now when he only served as a witness at the Congress and Senate hearings looking into the drug proliferation at the New Bilibid Prison and the death of Albuera, Leyte Mayor Rolando Espinosa.
Recent reports about him said that he no longer wanted to serve as a state witness, hence he is no longer interested to enroll in the Witness Protection Program (WPP) offered by the Department of Justice. This decision came after her was done testifying in Congress.
Dayan even expressed his intention not to enroll under WPP through his sister because he refused to talk to the media and even the policemen who were checking on his safety.
The source of the claim, mochausonph.blogspot, has also posted a few fake articles, such as Vice President Leni Robredo criticizing the food from Duterte’s Kitchen or that Duterte is ranked as the most popular president in the world, articles that Meme Buster has busted before.
The blogspot’s claim about Dayan making about his willingness to receive capital punishment if only De Lima would get it first is a complete LIE.
