Chelsea Clinton calls Duterte a ‘murderous thug,’ says ‘rape is never a joke’

While expressing his support for the government troops, Duterte said that he would admit to rape if the soldiers commit the crime.

“’Pag naka-rape ka ng tatlo, aminin ko na akin iyon,” the President said.

“’Pag nag-asawa ka ng apat, t—ina, bugbugin ka ng – ito si Delfin,” he added, referring to Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana.

One of the prominent figures who reacted to Duterte’s joke is Chelsea Clinton, the only child of former US President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hilary Clinton. She called Duterte a “murderous thug” and slammed his rape joke.

Responding to a Twitter user who talked about Duterte’s recent rape joke, Clinton said: “Not funny. Ever.”

In another response, she added: Hi Kevin – Duterte is a murderous thug with no regard for human rights. It’s important to keep point that out & that rape is never a joke.”
