Both fan pages lead to different blog sites which contain the same article.

The article claimed the Trump and Putin support Duterte’s war against drug.

Trump even reportedly refer to Duterte as “his Asian brother.” The article also quoted Trump as saying, “What else could be done to them? The only way is to sweep them way from the surface of the earth.”

Putin, the article claimed, reportedly acknowledged the success of Duterte’ work against drugs and even vowed to give assistance to the campaign in fighting drugs.

However, we cannot find anything about Trump and Putin committing to support Duterte and his war against drugs. When We Googled “Trump Duterte Asian brother” though, look at what we got:

We clicked on that smithrise.com article and found exactly the same article in the blogs posted by the Duterte fan pages.

However, the website’s disclaimer says that Smithrise.com is a satire web publication for news and political articles.

Their articles are meant to entertain, not to be taken seriously, which many of Duterte’s supporters did as they heaped praises on the Philippine president.

While Duterte and Trump have never met, both have been compared with each other for their tendency to make controversial comments. Time magazine wrote a quick comparison of the two. Trump called Mexicans rapists, while Duterte joked about rape. Trump promises to build a wall at the Mexican border, while Duterte threatens to ‘butcher’ criminals. “Both have used stump speeches to brag about the size of their manhoods. And both have had rows with the Pope,” Time added.

When Duterte was interpreted by international media as calling US President Barack Obama as ‘son of a whore,’ Trump was understood to be hitting Obama as he tweeted: “China wouldn’t provide a red carpet stairway from Air Force One and then Philippines President calls Obama “the son of a whore.” Terrible!”

As for Putin, Duterte earlier said that he was excited to meet the Russian President because of their similarities. However, the two did not meet in Laos and Putin did not comment on Duterte or the Philippine drug situation so far. Duterte’s supporters, though, seemed eager for the two leaders to meet because they made up stuff about Putin supposedly saying he ‘admires’ Duterte, but it was merely an invented Putin quote.

To set things straight, Putin and Trump did not comment on Duterte. The article came from a satire site meant to entertain and make people laugh so it should not be taken seriously!
