Duterte seen attending other events after skipping meeting with Kris due to “migraine”

Last Friday, November 11, TV host-actress Kris Aquino expressed her disappointment when her much-awaited interview with President Rodrigo Duterte was not able to push through.

The two were supposed to meet at the National Micro, Small, and Medium Entrepreneur’s (MSME) Summit 2016 in Davao City; however, the president could not make it because he was not feeling well after his two-day visit to Malaysia and was suffering from “migraine,” according to officials.

Kris still looks forward to another meeting with the president in the future and delivers a rather controversial statement on stage at the SMX Convention Center in Davao, “President Duterte, please give me a chance. I hope one day mamahalin mo rin ako.”

She adds, “I apologize again that the date hindi natuloy. I was stood up. But I assume the next time, he realized that it was fun, sisipot na siya.”

Surprisingly, the President was seen at the launch of Pilipinong May Puso Foundation, Incorporated hours later at the Waterfront Insular Hotel in the same city.

The activity was not a part of his office schedule handed over to media and wherein Duterte explained he arrived late because he had come from the mountains.

This mountain trip was not mentioned by Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez in his explanation regarding the President’s absence in the Go Negosyo Summit.

It seems that Duterte had been well recovered that he was able to attend the launch of an organization, which was created in honor of the memory of his late mother, Soledad “Nanay Soleng,” who had been one of the foremost activist and philanthropist during her days in Davao City.
