US President Donald Trump allegedly told the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) to stop condemning the Philippines and invest in the country instead by helping it overcome its challenges. However, this is another fake story from the fake news site aljazeeranews-tv.com.

Trump was said to have mentioned the Philippines and its drug problem, which the UN can help address, during his first ever UNGA address.
The story also noted how the American president previously called UN as “just a club for people to get together, talk and have a good time” and as an organization that is “not a friend of democracy.” These two statements quoted from Trump by the fake news site are true, though, as the US leader tweeted the first statement in December 2016 and uttered the second statement in March 2016 during his speech at the AIPAC Policy Conference.

However, Trump never even mentioned the Philippines throughout his speech at the UNGA on September 19. You can read through the transcript of his speech, as released by the US Office of the Press Secretary and you won’t find the Philippines in it.
Despite repeated warnings for netizens not to fall for the fake stories published by aljazeeranews-tv.com, many of them still bought the story. Facebook Links even showed that the story has been shared over 6,000 times.
And the netizens are thanking Trump for what he allegedly said about the Philippines.
This is not the first fake story that tried to paint a close relationship between Trump and the Philippines or President Duterte.
