Were Senators Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan and Risa Hontiveros holding hands while walking when they paid incarcerated Senator Leila De Lima a visit?

At least this is what pro-Duterte Facebook page “Showbiz Government” is trying to paint when it posted a photo of Pangilinan and Hontiveros walking, with a huge yellow mark encircled around the area showing both senators’ hands.
The FB page also captioned the photo with this:
“HHWW??? Kiko Pangilinan paano si Sharon Cuneta? #Intriga #chismis”
And several netizens bought the chismis, making malicious comments against Pangilinan and Hontiveros and calling them various names.

Some netizens even tagged Sharon Cuneta, possibly to alert her to what they thought to be her husband’s infidelity. They did it even if Showbiz Government already tagged Cuneta in its caption.

However, there were also netizens who pointed out the discrepancies in the photo.
One said that the photo just showed the illusion that the senators were holding hands when they are not.
Others said that Hontiveros and Pangilinan’s hands were simply overlapping.

It turned that these netizens’ observations about how the senators’ hands overlapped with each other were right. When viewed at a certain angle, the overlapping hands would look as though they are connected, holding each other, when they are definitely not.
In this Facebook post by Pangilinan, both Pangilinan and Hontiveros, as well as their hands, can be seen from a different angle.
Look! They are far from holding hands!
Showbiz Government is indeed going “showbiz” as it tries to create intrigues out of nothing.
It has also shared several fake articles in the past, such as the stories about De Lima claiming she’ll be a hero if she dies, Jim Paredes apologizing to fans about his (fake) concert’s mishap, CBCP refusing to donate a drug rehab center, Hontiveros filing a bill for MRT passengers’ color coding, and De Lima wanting to resign as senator but Filipinos are stopping her, among others.
Moreover, Senator Pangilinan is happily married to Cuneta. The couple just celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary on April 28.
