The article also reached netizens after being shared on Facebook.
It was also shared by a certain Santiago Absalon Bigotelio to several Duterte fan pages.

Sison’s cancer diagnosis was said to have been reported by a Dutch newspaper on March 10, Okd2.com reveals. The diagnosis allegedly came out on December 21, 2016, although he hid his condition to avoid the possibility of the NPA breaking up. And Sison’s condition is said to be growing worse because of his advanced age.
A group called the Coalition of NPA Victims (CNV) was reportedly rejoicing over Sison’s worsening health, even regarding it as “good news.”

A certain Atty. Noel Acosta, said to be CNV’s leader was quoted: “We may not get justice through legal battle, but the death of the evil will surely vindicate our dead families. Sison will have the worst legacy. He will die as an evil and will always be remembered as such.”
He was also further quoted as saying: “It’s paying time. We hope that the Dutch government will reject any burial ground for him. He cannot go back to the Philippines either. His remains should be thrown away.”
The NPA has not commented on the issue, while Satur Ocampo is said to be verifying the news.
However, given Okd2.com’s long history of weaving lies, we naturally grew suspicious about these claims from the website. We tried searching for reports about Sison’s current health condition, but we could not find anything about his alleged pancreatic cancer.
The latest news report that we found about Sison was when he lauded the resumption of the peace talks between the Philippine government and the National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP). He was said to be recovering from an undisclosed ailment, though, but is hoping to actively participate in the fourth round of the formal peace talks. This is unlike the social media posts’ claims about him dying.
We also tried to look for reports about the CNV, who was said to be rejoicing over Sison’s suffering, but we could not find any. It seemed like Okd2.com’s writers simply came up with the name of the said group of NPA victims to create this story.
Remember that Okd2.com is the same website behind the fake stories about how Jim Paredes allegedly hated Duterte for besting him at a contest in college, how former President Joseph Estrada rated Vice President Leni Robredo a 2/10 after her first 100 days, and more.
