One of the biggest controversies during the past administration of former President Benigno Aquino III is how the Yolanda aid was spent. An article from okd2.com came out claiming that Aquino, his Interior Secretary Mar Roxas, and Social Welfare Secretary Dinky Soliman are going to face charges filed by three foundations at The Hague.
This was also shared by some Facebook groups, such as the BBM The Nation Builder for Vice President 2016, and individual users.

According to okd2.com, The Rockefeller Foundation, International League of Donors, and Transparency International filed a joint case against Aquino, Roxas, and Soliman on February 27 for allegedly misspending $237 million of unliquidated funds meant for the victims of Typhoon Yolanda. The amount was based on International Red Cross’ report, which was in turn based on Transparency International’s report that $36.5 million (P1.78 billion) did not reach the typhoon victims.

The article also claimed that Presidential Spokesperson Ernesto Abella said that his office was informed about the charges but he called the case “a private matter.” This is not exactly supposed to be a private matter, as okd2.com has claimed Abella to have said, because government officials and funds intended for the public are involved.
The current administration of President Rodrigo Duterte is also said to be planning a separate case against the three former officials.
Okd2.com also said that The Rockefeller Foundation donated $956 million dollar while ILD gave more than $600 million from various corporations.
However, we could not find credible reports supporting this claim by okd2.com about how charges are filed against Aquino, Roxas and Soliman at The Hague.
We also could not find a real organization called the “International League of Donors.” Okd2.com is not exactly new to making up names and statements because the fake news site has done it so many times before.
