A Twitter user called the attention of “amateur Malacañang staff” and tried to correct the program used during the state banquet hosted by the Palace for Chinese Premier Li Keqiang.

The alternative Twitter page of Communications Asec. Mocha Uson with the handle AltAsecMargauxUson tweeted her corrections, hitting first the way China’s official name was erroneously written.
“There is a reason why we don’t separate “People’s” from “Republic of China” when writing the official name of China,” the Twitter page said. ““Republic of China” alone IS Taiwan.”
The page also remarked on the error: “I cringe at the awkward and hanging “Premier of the State Council of the People’s…”

The page offered an alternative version of the dinner presentation.
“To observe the principle that names of persons, official titles, and place names should not be cut,” it tweeted.
AltAsecMargauxUson also hit the misspelled China’s “other name.”
“Also, the other name for China is ZHONGGOU (“Middle Kingdom”), not *zhonh guo,*” the Twitter page said.
It turned out that the photos of the erroneous program came from Communications Secretary Martin Andanar, as per GMA News’ tweet.
Malacañang hosted a state banquet for Li on November 15 with food served by Shangri-La. Duterte had an extended bilateral meeting with Li at the Palace’s historic Aguinaldo State Dining Room.
“Premier Li’s visit is a momentous occasion for the Philippines as it marks the first visit of a Chinese Premier to Manila in 10 years. This shows the great strides that we have accomplished in the bilateral relations between our two countries since I assumed (office),” Duterte said of the meeting.
“I am pleased to note the positive turnaround and vigorous momentum of Philippines-China relations. Mutual trust and confidence-building have led to increased interaction on many levels of our two governments,” he said.
“Practical cooperation in many areas is bringing in an early harvest of tangible benefits,” he added. “Altogether, these concerted efforts of the Philippines and China have secured peace, stability, and development in the region.”
