Vice President Leni Robredo is allegedly being stripped of her license to practice law, according to some articles online.
The headline “Leni Robredo Tatanggalan ng Karapatan sa Pagka-abugado Dahil sa Pagsisinungaling!” sounds sure that Robredo is already about to be disbarred. Even the captions of the Facebook users and pages sharing the article were taunting the Vice President for finally being unable to practice as a lawyer soon.

The Duterte Facebook support page “Duterte Ang Pagbabago” said this in its caption:
“Buti nga sayo! Ano pang halaga ng pagka abogado mo kung sinungaling ka rin pala! Tapos ngayon gusto mo pang gawing legal ang Droga sabansa? Anong klaseng abogado ang ganyan. Balak mo pa atang gawing Planta ng droga ang Pilipinas. Anong masasabi niyo dito? Panoorin niyo to at E SHare Po natin to sa iba. #SHareMO to sa iba. Share if you AGREE”
The article was also shared by other Duterte and Marcos support pages on Facebook, including “Pres. Duterte ang Agila ng Davao,” “Duterte-Marcos Tandem,” “Duterte Warriors,” “Duterte News Global,”

And it looks like the article has been spread far and wide, based on this link search result on Facebook, after it was published by blogs like newsmediaph.com, pinoybalita.net, and philnewsportal.com.
The link showed a YouTube video that is almost 11 minutes long.

The video shows a PTV anchor detailing how the Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption (VACC) are considering the idea of filing a disbarment case against Robredo for sending a video message to the UN Commission on Narcotic Drugs about the over 7,000 killings and the palit-ulo scheme in the Philippines.
While the headline made it sound as though the disbarment case against Robredo has already ended and a decision has been released to relieve her of her rights to practice the law, this is simply not true.
What’s true, instead, is how the VACC was mulling over filing a disbarment case against Robredo in March after she stood by what she said during her UN video image. Robredo’s spokesperson, Georgina Hernandez, said that there was no reason for the Vice President to apologize for her statement to the UN because she was only giving “voice” to the families hit by Duterte’s drug war.
However, there has been no update about whether the VACC has really filed a disbarment complaint against Robredo. What we heard, though, is the impeachment complaint that Robredo’s critics and President Rodrigo Duterte’s supporters are filing before the House of Representatives on May 2.
We haven’t heard any progress on the disbarment threat against her, so the headline claiming that Robredo will be stripped of her law license is definitely misleading.
