Entertainer/blogger/columnist Mocha Uson has bashed Vice President Leni Robredo a number of times, with the support of her over 4 million followers on Facebook.
Her most recent remarks against Robredo were about the vice president’s magazine covers, which has gone viral.
Uson posted a collage of Robredo’s six magazine covers, captioning it: “Mam tama naman na ang pangangampanya sa 2022 trabaho na po sana tayo.”
Her post has since gained over 5,600 shares and 26,000 reactions.
She later made another post on the same day, explaining that she was disappointed because Robredo was the one on the cover.
“Hindi ako nadidismaya dahil fineature nila si VP Leni at CHR Chair Gascon ngunit kung sinabi nila sa akin na ang magiging theme ng kanilang Dec-Jan issue ay Heroes & Villains of A Strange Year ay hindi ako papayag. Hindi man nilang direktang sinabi na ako ay villain sa isyu na ito ngunit napaka-obvious naman dahil din sa mga katagang “IN THE END, GOOD WILL PREVAIL OVER EVIL” na sinundan pa ng- “Vice President Leni Robredo remains optimistic in the face of her own dismay at the state’s decision to bury a dictator, keeping faith in the triumph of justice,”” Uson wrote.

Uson also slammed her Esquire interviewers, accusing them of not knowing much about what is happening in the country and for insinuating that the extrajudicial killings are government-sanctioned.
“Hindi na rin nakapagtataka na sa interview nila sa akin, sa pamamagitan ng kanilang mga tanong, ay tila wala silang kaalam alam sa mga tunay na nangyayari sa ating bayan lalo na sa ating mga lansangan. Sa aking palagay pilit na pinalalabas sa tanong nila na ang EJK ay government sanctioned,” she said.
She added that Esquire made her believe that they are fair and professional, only to find out that they are “elitists.”
“Don’t get me wrong, hindi ako galit sa ESQUIRE dahil sa hindi makatarungang ginawa nila. Ngunit ako’y napaniwala nila na sila daw ay isang patas at propesyonal na pahayagan. Yun pala sila ay isang tabloid na pinakintab lamang ang mga papel. At sa kanilang paulit ulit na tanong na “wala daw ba akong nakikitang pagkakamali ni DUTERTE” ay sa aking opinion ay isa itong trap. Ramdam ko ang pagiging elitista nila during the Interview. Gayun pa man hindi ako nagpa tinag dahil sanay na ako sa mga mediang naghahanap ng butas para masira si Pangulong Duterte. TULOY LANG ANG LABAN! The truth will always prevail!” Uson said.
And here is Robredo’s December 2016-January 2017 magazine cover for Esquire.
But one of the comments on Uson’s first post slamming Robredo was that of Joseph Pascual, who said he photographed Uson for Esquire.
“I photographed you for Esquire and you were supposed to be on that cover,” he said.
He further claimed that Uson was supposed to be on the cover of that magazine.
“It is disappointing to see you lambast someone for doing something you yourself were so grateful to have done,” Pascual said.
“Maybe next time, turn down offers for the things you’ll hate others for doing,” he added.
One commenter said that this could be why Uson was angry at Robredo.
Another bashed her for bashing Robredo after she said she was open to having a talk show with Duterte.
Someone also pointed out how some of Robredo’s covers were taken well before she was elected vice president, while asking why they Uson did not have a problem with Duterte’s magazine covers.
In his interview with Preen Inquirer, Pascual said, “I think that sociedia, especially now, is powerful in the right – or wrong – hands. It’s how you can spread dangerous propaganda or the truth. All I wanted to do was call out Mocha Uson’s hypocrisy for demeaning our Vice-President for allowing herself to be photographed and (be) interviewed, because Mocha herself has done so in the past.”
