Twitter users slammed Tourism Undersecretary Kat de Castro for misinterpreting what Senator Antonio Trillanes IV was trying to do when he asked presidential son Davao City Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte if he could show his tattoo on the back.

The Twitterverse’s reaction came after de Castro showed off some of her tattoos with the hashtag #NoToTattooDiscrimination.
Some Twitter users tried to explain that there was no tattoo discrimination in Trillanes’ action.
“Ma’am Kat me tattoo din po ako! Pero Hindi ko naramdaman na ang discrimination na sinasabi Po ninyo.wala pong discrimination doon Ma’am!” one said.
“May tinatanong lamang po at meron gustong makita! Humingi naman po ng permiso para makita. Since he invoke his privacy ne respeto naman nila,” he added.
Others said that Trillanes’ point was to check the tattoo if it matched the tattoo of triad members.

The other Twitter users shared the same sentiment as they replied to her tweet.
During the Senate hearing on the smuggled P6.4 billion worth of shabu on September 7, Trillanes said that he received foreign intelligence report that Duterte had a tattoo on his back signifying that he is a member of a triad.
“Binigay sa ‘kin ng foreign intelligence… Si Paolo Duterte member ng triad. Ang proof ng kaniyang membership, ang kaniyang tattoo sa likod,” Trillanes said.
“That’s the membership of triads. I am not making any baseless allegations here,” Trillanes added.
Duterte admitted to having a tattoo on his back, but he refused to show it or answer any questions related to it, invoking his right to privacy.
“I am very sorry… but I cannot answer allegations based on hearsay,” he said.
