Vice President Leni Robredo has submitted her resignation letter as she stepped down as the chair of the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC) on Monday, December 5.
Her official Facebook page posted a photo of the letter, which was officially received by the Office of the Executive Secretary at around 9:07 in the morning on Monday.

“I accepted the appointment as Chairperson of the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC) given our shared commitment to the poor and marginalized,” Robredo said in her letter.
She said, addressing Duterte, that she tried putting their differences aside, but his latest order to “desist from attending all Cabinet meetings” made it “impossible for her to do her job.

“Remaining in your Cabinet has become untenable,” Robredo said.
Many of the top, liked comments on her Facebook post cheered her on to continue her fight, while others slammed the callous way President Rodrigo Duterte sent his message to Robredo.
