Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa announced the arrest of alleged drug lord Kerwin Espinosa in Abu Dhabi.
GMA News Online reported that the PNP chief confirmed Espinosa’s arrest on Monday at 2 a.m in the morning.

“With the help of Abu Dhabi police, just this morning 2 a.m. our team arrested Kerwin Espinosa,” he said.
Dela Rosa said tips about Espinosa’s whereabouts came from overseas Filipino workers in Abu Dhabi, leading to the suspected drug lord getting caught.
The authorities have been on the lookout for Kerwin, the son of Albuera, Leyte Mayor Rolando Espinosa, also suspected of links to drugs, who was arrested last October 5 for illegal possession of firearms and explosives and possession of illegal drugs.
