Meme Buster has busted the article posted by satire site Adobo Chronicles during the election campaign claiming that Robredo will resign from her post if she is elected as Duterte’s vice president. She never said she would resign and is even gearing for her post with a simple preparation for her June 30 inauguration.
And Robredo is not begging for a Cabinet position. Duterte has not offered her any position in his incoming Cabinet to avoid hurting his friend and Robredo’s biggest rival for the vice presidential seat Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. But Robredo said that she is not upset about it.

“As President, he has the power to select the people who can help him run his government. Whether with a position or not, I will strive to keep the promises I made to our people to the best of my ability,” Robredo said in a statement.
Georgina Hernandez, Robredo’s spokesperson, said that the vice president-elect can still work on her advocacies even without being a Cabinet member. She added that Robredo plans to ask the private sector for help. Hernandez also said that many private sector organizations have expressed their desire to support Robredo and her anti-poverty programs.
Duterte’s supporters were wrong on both points. Robredo did not say that she would resign as VP if Duterte wins and she is not upset about not having a Cabinet post as she swears to work even harder as VP and push for her advocacies.
