Facebook page “Oragons for Duterte” called out another page “Bangon NAGA” for credit grabbing after claiming that relief packs from the DSWD for Typhoon Nina victims were “coursed thru the Office of the Vice President.”
In a Facebook post, the Oragons called out Vice President Leni Robredo’s spokesperson, Georgina Hernandez, for the erroneous post that made it seem as though the 2,000 relief packs were to be delivered to the victims through the vice president’s office. The Oragons issued a warning that their page will be ready to correct any erroneous claim made by Robredo’s supporters.

Vocal Duterte supporter Sass Rogando Sassot also called out Facebook page “Thinking Class of the Philippines, which she called as “Robredo’s apologist,” for using old photos from the US Aid given during Typhoon Yolanda along with a post explaining that Robredo is “coordinating the relief from the US.”

Sassot wrote, “Pssst.. Robredo Apologist na Thinking Class of the Philippines, bakit ninyo inilagay iyong USAid na picture noong Typhoon Yolanda para sa inyong article about Leni “coordinating relief from the US”? Kaloka.”
Journalist Inday Espina-Varona also slammed Bangon Naga’s credit grabbing, adding that this is could “destroy” Robredo, their “heroine.”
She also pointed out how Bangon Naga acted like a “semi-official page for disaster relief” and how they should have posted about Robredo’s contribution to the relief distribution to the typhoon Nina victims by having the relief goods packed at her family’s residence. She was referring to this post.
Espina-Varona, though, made a caveat about jumping to conclusions since there was no sign the packed DSWD stocks ended up in Robredo’s residence for repacking.
