One of the most famous tales about President Rodrigo Duterte while he was still mayor of Davao City was about him going undercover as a taxi driver or riding his motorbike around the city.
In fact, one netizen saw Duterte driving a Holiday Taxi back in 2013.
This could have been the inspiration why a Facebook page called “Duterte for Change” claimed that Duterte, now the President of the Philippines, rode on his motorbike to visit Muntinlupa and check the traffic situation himself. The same Facebook post also said that the President even asked the city mayor, Jaime Fresnedi, to clear the vendors off the streets to relieve the traffic at the Muntinlupa market.
Even the official Facebook page of senatorial hopeful Greco Belgica posted about this story of Duterte going incognito around Metro Manila on his bike.
And many netizens seemed to believe what the Facebook post claimed about Duterte’s visit to Muntinlupa.
As of writing, the said Facebook post has earned 44,000 reactions and 20,350 shares. It has truly gone viral, but is what the post claiming true?
