A certain Niño Ruelo Barzaga claimed that Senator Antonio Trillanes IV’s daughter, Thea, criticized the looks of Veronica “Kitty” Duterte, the youngest daughter of President Rodrigo Duterte.

Barzaga’s video has been picked up by various blogs, such as newsportalph.info, dutertetayo.info, choosenews.net, freshnewsph.info, modestchronicle.info, ph-news1portal.tk, dds-tambayan.info, and more. His video was also shared by Facebook pages “Trend News Philippines”, “Para Sa Masa,” “President Duterte Astig Supporters,” “Pres, Duterte ang Agila ng Davao,” “Duterteism,” “Social Media PH,” and “President Rody Duterte,” among other pages.
Facebook page “Kumpyansa Kaayung Amaw-Bisayanibai” also compared the photos of Thea and Kitty and bashed Thea. The post has been shared over 1,200 times and reacted to 3,000 times as of writing.

In the video, Barzaga claimed that Trillanes’ daughter called Kitty Duterte “ugly.” He went on to compare Thea’s photos with those of Kitty’s and called the senator’s daughter names.

While he was readily able to show photos of Thea and Kitty, what we were waiting for was proof – a video, social media post, note, or anything – that Thea did call Kitty “ugly.” However, Barzaga, throughout the four-minute video, was not able to show proof at all.
We tried to learn more about Barzaga and found out that he is a massive, massive Duterte fan, based on these social media posts that he posted on Duterte fan pages and other Facebook groups.
He even mistakenly said “like father, like son” (when Thea is obviously a daughter) while posting on various groups about Trillanes’ daughter.
“LIKE FATHER LIKE SON THEA TRILLANES ANO TINGIN MO SA SARILI MO MAGANDA BABAE KA OMG YUN SINABIHAN MO PANGET NA KETTY DUTERTE EH MAS MAGANDA PA SYO AT DI MANGLALAIT DI GAYA MO THEA TRILLANES NA MUKHA KANA LUSYANG NA BABAE MUKHA KAPA GARAPATA NA DI NAG AYOS NG SARILI KA BABAE MO TAO AT BATA PA PERO MUKHA NASA 60 YEARS OLD KANA THEA TRILLANES,” Barzaga wrote, although his attachment is no longer available.
Look at how hard at work he was in posting his accusations against Thea to various Facebook groups.
He also does the same thing while spreading the word for his other causes for Duterte – post on several Facebook groups.
His “Nino Ruelo Barzaga” Facebook page is private, but we found another page of his, “Ako Si Niño Barzaga Kalaban ng abusado sa pamahalaan,” where he also shared some of the posts of his “Nino Ruelo Barzaga” page.
And we found some of his recent posts to have been based on the fake news about the opposition hiring Superferry ships to take Vis-Min protesters to Manila for the September 21 rally and how these protesters were stranded at the Batangas port. But these are fake stories, with the story about the ships being rented confirmed by PNP chief Dir. Gen. Ronald dela Rosa as fake news.
Despite the backlash Thea was getting for allegedly bashing the youngest presidential daughter, there were also some netizens who defended Thea, considering how Barzaga was not even able to present proof that Trillanes’ daughter slammed Kitty’s looks.
A certain Alyssa Nicole Morada said in her Facebook post on September 25 that she knows Thea and describes the senator’s daughter as a “simple lady who would least of all care of what she’d wear to our Recognition/Graduation Days.”
“He didn’t even provide PROOF of Thea’s supposed actions towards Kitty. All he did was show pictures of the two innocent girls for the idiotic and naive viewers to compare and judge based on looks. In other words, MEMA lang. This man has just publicly shamed and, mind you, CURSED AND CALLED NAMES on a poor girl,” she added.
Other netizens also slammed those who bashed Thea for doing so even without getting proof aside from the Duterte supporter’s online rant.
“Do you know this person? His name is Niño Ruelo. Can you see any proof that Thea Trillanes has said what he is accusing her? If there is no proof of his accusation, it means it’s all CHISMIS!” a netizen said.
