We found some netizens who really believed that the taxi driver was President Duterte who managed to escape his security.

However, an ABS-CBN report revealed that the taxi driver was Ponciano “Dodong” Veronas, who lives in Brgy. Astorga in Sta.

Veronas added that he was often mistaken as Duterte by his passengers. He said that he felt honored to be complimented as a Duterte look-alike.

Moreover, President was in Brunei on October 5 and 6, when the taxi driver was spotted, to celebrate Brunei Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah’s 50th anniversary on the throne, making him the second longest-reigning monarch in the world.
