The Singapore government has released a statement regarding this issue through their official Facebook page, Singapore Embassy in Manila.

“The Embassy has learned of a FB post mischievously alleging the Prime Minister of Singapore endorses a presidential candidate for the upcoming presidential election in the Philippines. This is untrue. Singapore does not endorse any candidate. The choice is for Filipinos to make. We wish the Philippines well in the conduct of its elections,” the embassy wrote.

As a Filipino voter, we should not only use our RIGHT to vote, but also treat it as a RESPONSIBILITY. The future of our country lies in our hands the moment we cast our vote this May 9. But before that day comes, we should make it a habit to verify anything and everything that we see online.
