Facebook user Dino Manrique visited the wake of 17-year-old Kian Lloyd delos Santos, who was killed during one of the bloody police operations in Manila last week and revealed more of the circumstances behind the teenager’s death.
The freelance writer and editor posted three photos to his album for Kian’s wake and one of those photos along with a story from one of Kian’s relatives went viral, having been shared over 600 times since it was uploaded on August 20.

Posting a photo of the sari-sari store/botica where Kian was said to have been accosted by the cops, Manrique narrated how Kian went out of his house to buy food for dinner before the cops found him. Manrique added that one of Kian’s relatives told him how the media’s stories about the teenager failed to discuss the fact that the cops even asked Kian to take them to his house. They searched the house, even used the comfort room, but found nothing.
“One relative said that one episode that hasn’t been given enough “focus” was how Kian’s captors actually asked Kian to bring them to his house, and once there, searched the house, and even took a leak. “They found nothing,” said the relative,” Manrique wrote.
“”Sir, nega,” one of Kian’s captors allegedly told the other,” Manrique added, based on the story he heard from Kian’s relative.
The cops then took Kian outside of the house, passing through narrow alleys, where neighbors could hear Kian pleading to the cops not to rough him up because he still had to take an exam the next day.
Then, Kian was found dead.
As for the exam that Kian was so worried about even when the cops was taking him to what would be his death, his teacher and schoolmates made this gesture for him.

“On Friday (or Thursday), his teacher and schoolmates reserved a seat for him. “You can take your exam, now, Kian,” they said,” Manrique wrote.
This is Manrique’s full post about this little known fact about Kian’s encounter with the cops:
“This is the Botica where Kian Loyd Delos Santos was fatefully accosted by his captors. Just about 20 meters down the main alley from his house, Kian went out to buy food because there was only kikiam for dinner when he got home. He jokingly told his 84-year-old Lola how will he get smart if they would not feed him properly.
One relative said that one episode that hasn’t been given enough “focus” was how Kian’s captors actually asked Kian to bring them to his house, and once there, searched the house, and even took a leak. “They found nothing,” said the relative. “Sir, nega,” one of Kian’s captors allegedly told the other.
They then took Kian “sa baba,” a 5-minute or so walk from Kian’s house. One advocate said that the neighborhood is so populated and transected and bisected by so many alleys that there’s no way conversations can escape the neighbors’ ears. So they heard, according to a relative, Kian begging his captors not to rough him up anymore because he still had to prepare for an exam. That was before Kian was soon found dead.
That was on Wednesday night. On Friday (or Thursday), his teacher and schoolmates reserved a seat for him. “You can take your exam, now, Kian,” they said.

According to the autopsy conducted by the Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) conducted on August 20 later showed that Kian was shot while lying down, with his killer standing over him.
“There’s no evidence that would back up [the policemen’s story] that he fought back. He was lying face down, his shooter was standing above him,” PAO medicolegal officer Erwin Erfe.
