Filipino artists troll Marcos Centennial digital poster making contest using #Marcos100, #MarcosArtrocities

The Marcos Centennial Facebook page announced on August 28 the digital poster making contest as part of the celebration of the 100th birthday of the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos on September 11. It remarked that the poster should reflect the “outstanding accomplishment and character of President Ferdinand E. Marcos as a Filipino.”

However, Twitter noticed the contest and started using the artists’ creativity to show Marcos’ abuses during his dictatorship.

Thysz Adarte urged artists of #ArtPH to hijack #Marcos 100 and showcase their best “Marcos ARTrocity.”
