Busted: Hillary Clinton wants to sue Duterte for insulting her family? It’s fake news!

The source of the report turned out to be the fake news site cnnnews-channel.com.

According to Facebook Links result, the said report has already been shared over 3,000 times, as of writing.

Hillary Clinton wanted to sue the Philippine president for making derogatory remarks towards her family, claimed cnnnews-channel.com. This came after Duterte responded to Chelsea Clinton, who called him a “murderous thug” after he made another rape joke in front of the Philippine military.

“I will tell her (Chelsea), when your father, the president of the United States, was f***ing Lewinsky and the girls in the White House, how did you feel? Did you slam your father?” Duterte said.

Duterte also defended his rape remarks, saying that he was being sarcastic when he made the statement.

“If you go down, I go down. But for this martial law and the consequences of martial law and the ramifications of martial law, I and I alone would be responsible. Trabaho lang kayo. Ako na bahala. Ako ang magpakulong sa inyo,” Duterte said.

“Pag naka-rape ka ng tatlo, aminin ko na akin iyon. Pag nag-asawa ka ng apat, t—ina, bugbugin ka ng – ito si (Defense Secretary) Delfin (Lorenzana),” he added.

While cnnnews-channel.com got Duterte’s statement in response to Chelsea’s earlier remark, they just made up the story about Hillary Clinton vowing to sue Duterte. We could not find any reports to back this claim up.

Moreover, cnnnews-channel.com has made up several fake stories before. Meme Buster has even debunked some of them, such as the ICC prosecutor saying there is no evidence in warranting Duterte’s ICC prosecution, Saudi Arabians requesting Duterte to be their next king, and the US embassy denying Trillanes’ US visa application, among other fake stories.
