Did you miss President Rodrigo Duterte’s first State of the Nation Address (SONA)?
Rappler’s YouTube channel has a copy of the much anticipated SONA, which Communications Secretary Martin Andanar described as something that made him cry.
The video coverage below includes Duterte’s arrival and walk to the podium at the Batasang Pambansa, as well as a bit of the happenings after his speech, which lasted for around 1 hour and 32 minutes.
As for the highlights of the SONA, some of them are about extending the effectiveness of driver’s licenses and passports, creating a one-stop shop for OFWs, intensifying campaign against illegal mining and illegal logging activities, implementing the RH Bill, pushing for federalism, and more. Manila Bulletin published a list, found here.
