Facebook page Mochang Tanga Blog slammed former Interior Secretary Rafael Alunan III for sharing the fake news about Senator Antonio Trillanes IV’s employees being arrested with drugs at the airport.
In a sarcastic post, the page wrote, “Ganyan nga mga kaDDS! Marami na tayo naloko! Paramihin pa natin!”
The hoax that Alunan shared is something that Meme Buster has busted. It is not true that two of Trillanes’ employees were caught with drugs at “Ninoy Airport.” However, this hoax still gained traction among Duterte’s supporters after it was shared by Duterte fan pages on Facebook. The article and the stories on the blogs that re-published it got hundreds to thousands of shares online.

However, as what Mochang Tanga Blog has emphasized in its post, looking at the source of the article, philstar.i-telecast.com, should have alerted Alunan that the article is fake.
Still, he was not quick enough to spot the fake and even captioned his post, “Drug smugglers working for Trillanes. Kaya pala.”

We checked his Facebook page, but the said post has already been taken down.
