Netizen’s post commending Duterte, Robredo as responsible leaders setting aside partisanship goes viral

Facebook user Migs Mercado expressed his sentiments about how responsible the two biggest leaders in the country are for uniting for the good of the country and it seems like thousands of Filipino netizens agreed with him as his post went viral.

On May 24, Mercado wrote on Facebook, “The President is cutting his trip and coming home. The Vice-President is receiving briefing from the AFP. THESE ARE WHAT RESPONSIBLE OFFICIALS DO.”

Throwing shade at those who still react negatively to either stories, he said, “IT SHOWS YOU ARE MORE CONCERN ABOUT YOUR POLITICAL BIAS THAN THE GOOD OF THE COUNTRY.”

Mercado then urged everyone to “set aside partisanship” for the benefit of the Philippines.

“TIME TO SET ASIDE PARTISANSHIP FOR THE GOOD OF THE COUNTRY,” he wrote.

He also posted screenshots of CNN Philippines’ news about Duterte’s statement about cutting his Russian trip short to come home and assuring the Filipinos not to be scared and Robredo being briefed by the Armed Forces of the Philippines officials on the Marawi clash.
