Busted: Did Duterte fire NAIA employees due to laglag bala? He’s not even in office yet!

Some of the commenters are all praises about how effective Duterte is in solving problems, how grateful they are to him for protecting OFWs, and how change is finally coming, referring to Duterte’s campaign promise.

However, there were also those who called the Facebook page’s admin out for posting false information, citing the fact that Duterte still has to be inaugurated into office this June 30. They discourage the admin from making misleading posts that will only ruin the reputation of the Duterte supporters and remind fellow supporters to check the content of the article instead of simply reading the headline before sharing the post.

And when you do click on the link in the Facebook post, you will be redirected to a webpage with this YouTube video:

The video was actually that of a TV5 news report about Duterte’s plan to fire all NAIA employees, even those who are not involved in the laglag bala scam, to force those who are guilty to confess to their crimes. He also plans to send the employees to Jolo, Sulu, along with other corrupt government officials.

The point is these are all Duterte’s PLANS AND PROPOSALS, but Duterte’s Facebook fan page is quite advanced in making a report, claiming that the president-elect has already fired hundreds of NAIA employees after another laglag bala case occurred.

This is another case of netizens simply reading the headline and reacting to it despite not reading or watching the entire content of the article or video. And just like what other Duterte supporters have said in the comment section, Duterte fan pages should not be used to spread false information.
