The answer is no, the person typing the caption did not predict and did not know what Roxas was about to say. He/she was merely typing Roxas’ earlier answer, which Roxas repeated just when the caption was shown on the TV screen.
Unfortunately, those who only get to watch this spliced video below will definitely believe that whoever was writing the caption already knew what Roxas’ answer is going to be.
But if you watch this full video of the 3rd PiliPinas Debates 2016, fast forward it to the mark when moderator Karen Davila asked Roxas a question at 1:06:07, and listen to the start of Roxas’ answer, you’ll know when he uttered “Alam mo, Karen, sa kasaysayan ko, binangga ko ang mga malalaking interes.”
He simply repeated that same line at around the 1:06:30 mark, which is the only line that was able to make it to the maliciously spliced video used as proof of what some people claimed as Roxas’ ‘scripted answers’ during the debate.
