When Esquire Philippines released its magazine cover for its December 2016/January 2017 issue and revealed that it was Vice President Leni Robredo on the cover, it received mixed reactions from Filipinos.
However, what caught the netizens’ attention was the witty comebacks of the magazine’s social media manager.
Facebook user Michelle Lao documented those comebacks against the magazine’s bashers (and admirers) for having Robredo on its cover.
“Esquire Philippines should buy cold water in bulk for all the burns they just delivered,” Lao said in her Facebook post.
